Put the People First

Hippocrates said" it is more important to know what sort of person has a disease than to know what sort of disease a person has." As a medical school student, I claim this words strongly because I think that as a doctor they should use their professional knowledge individually. The leaves in the world are different and this words is also suitable for people.

Here are two examples. First, many years ago, two men felt bad simultaneously and went to the same hospital to check in. After the test, the one had the cancer and the other just had little trouble. But dramaticlly, they took the erroneous report, the one who had the cancer took the normal test and the other took the left. Maybe you will think the two men's ending. When the hospital found the report was taken wrongly, they found the two men quickly. Nevertheless, they found the man who had the cancer is quite happy even though originally because of the cancer he can not live long. And they found the man who has little trouble died.

The two men told us, what sort of men can make a difference to the disease. Provided that a person is optimism, it may save the person's life. In contrast, negative can kill a person. A doctor should see the disease as a developmental phenomenon, believing that the physician should treat not only the disease but the patients. Advocated attention in the treatment of patients with personality characteristics, environmental factors and lifestyle impact on the disease.
