The QingMing Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping day,is a traditional Chinese festival.Falling on one day in early April.This festival became a pubilc holiday in china in 2008.The QingMng festival is an opportunity for people to get together and honour their ancestors.On this day,after sweeping the tombs,all the family members pray before the ancestor and burn the joss paper,which is followed by offering ancestors food,tea,wine,flowers and so on.In addition,people go on family outings and start the spring plowing.Another popular thing people like to do is to flying kites,enjoying the beauty of spring.

For everyone in a family,the QingMing festival is a time when they can get together and show their respect for the ancestors.
